Suzaku, who is from Area 11 and is looked down upon by Britannia, had been framed for the murder of Prince Clovis, and was sentenced to court. Because of his origin, he would have been executed, had it not been for Lelouch. He will then "make the impossible, possible." being only 3 people(2 strong believers of his efforts from the anit-government group and himself), they were able to free Suzaku, disgrace Jeremiah, and what some would call, performed a miracle. Thus, Zero had made his stage debut in the world.
As a force to be reckoned with, having followers and believers, They were still looked at as terrorists. An incident happened between Britannia and the Japan Liberation Front which involved the Third Princess, Euphemia li Britannia. Suzaku, who is now in the Research Development are of the military, is the pilot of a prototype Knightmare called the Lancelot, exceptionally out-performing most of the recent Knightmare models. Zero announced that he was to rescue the Britannian citizens, which he then followed up on. Being successful with this rescue, he then revealed that he and his group(previously the anti-government terrorists) will fight for those who can't fight themselves. The Order of the Black Knights.
The Britannian Empire is planning on invading and wiping out the Japanese Liberation Front's HQs, lead by the Second Princess Corneliali Britannia, but Zero uses this chance to counter them, at the cost of lives if necessary. With the Japanese Liberation Front's HQs slowly getting wiped out and the Order feeling like they're cornered on top of a mountain, moral is down and some start to question Zero's "miracles." Although it seems this way, Zero had planned to take out as many of the Britannian troops using a landslide and had set up explosives along certain points of the mountain. taking out the main forces and separating the enemy troops, he caused confusion and the Order took this advantage to surround them and take them out. Unfortunately, even with all the chaos, Zero couldn't take out the Second Princess due to Suzaku interfering. Kallen, the Ace of the Order was able to hold Suzaku off, however having to retreat because Cornelia is an elite Knightmare pilot yet Zero is not as talented. After some time of this event, Lelouch is going on with his high school life, standing up a date with one of his very close friends for a meeting with a supplier for the Order, only to find that she is in now mourning over the death of her father, who was one of the people serving Cornelia that were taken out by the landslide......Later having to use his geass on said friend to make her forget about him and to hopefully not get hurt by him ever again in the future.
During a fight with a Britannian Force, Euphemia encountered Zero again. After their previous meeting, she had noticed a similar attitude to that of their so called dead brother, Lelouch. As she confronted him, he confirmed her suspicions and promised not to tell anyone who Zero was, especially since she understood all the trouble he and Nunally had been through. Later on, has a little discussion with Lelouch about Politics and what they think the world would be like if it was more peaceful. Unfortunately for Lelouch, he stated "For example, If I say Kill the Japanese" And his geass, now out of control and unable to be turned off, had forced Euphie to order all Britannian soldiers to kill the Japanese. A massacre had now started and the Japanese needed to retreat and regroup, forcing the Order to step in. With the feel of guilt in his heart, Lelouch had shed a tear, before ordering the Order to search for Euphie and kill her. Shortly after, Zero finds her and puts a bullet in her head, with Suzaku to witness. Filled with rage, Suzaku attacks him, taking Euphie's body and retreating. Startled by this outcome, Zero is now forced to use this as an opportunity to gain more allies and use Euphie's death to accomplish his, and also her goals.

His goals were soon put on hold after Nunally got kidnapped and Zero got captured, taken to the Emperor and lost his memories, who revealed that he had his very own geass, the power to manipulate someones memories. Having his life turned around and controlled, the Order is now determined to get Lelouch back to lead them against Britannia once more, and so starts the second season, where a plan to get Lelouch to remember who he was comes into motion. With Lelouch doing his usual thing, ditching classes to go have some fun playing chess games against nobles, the Order is hoping to catch him while he's in a more vulnerable situation, also being aware of the Britannian military keeping a close eye on him and trying to draw out C.C. Lelouch had run into the Britannians after him, being used as bait to bring C.C to them, only for them to perish from him going through a similar process to him receiving his geass, causing his memories to return, and to remind him that he is the terror to the world. He is once again, Zero.
Later on throughout the series, Lelouch is finally confirmed to be the returning Zero and confronts his father head on. Taken to the Sword of Akasha, a temple that is part of the World of C, he witnesses his mothers presence, whom had been trapped there, and the Emperor had tried to help her get her time back, wanting to live how they used to be, before V.V was corrupted with power and destroyed her physical body. Lelouch, outraged at the fact that they had destroyed their current relationship with their children, decided they weren't fit to be called parents, provoking both his mother and father to attack him. Being told that the kings who grant the use of geass throughout the world are present, Lelouch decided to use his very own geass on them to command that they make his mother and father disappear. Suzaku, having watched the whole thing, had decided on supporting Lelouch's wishes, despite what happened to Euphy, and now became his personal knight, and therefore the start of Zero Requiem.

With the plan going accordingly, Lelouch had soon after defeated his Brother Schneizel and had used his geass to forever obey Zero. Having Suzaku by his side, the world had been defeated, and is now ruled by Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia. His geass, being used on those with power, to work for him, abolishing the Area system, giving those people more freedom and having to worship him. And so, having conquered the world, Lelouch will be remembered as the one who terrorised it, and created fear among all those that lived. Two months later, Zero Requiem will finally be achieved. With the whole world against him, Lelouch had the best timing possible, by allowing the appearance of Zero. The upholder of justice, the one who fights for those who have no weapons. For those with power, fear him. With his appearance, he immediately approaches the terror of the world, with a sword. piercing straight through his heart, he whispers.......
